How the steering feel and how livable is she on a daily drive basis?

Did it attract the ladies?

I've forgotten who broke the C7 story to us first. Be sure to remind us in the review. :P

I drove my Grandma to Thanksgiving dinner earlier, so yes.

Nicely weighted, feels pretty direct, sport mode is the sweet spot, I think. Track is too artificially heavy, touring is great on the highway but a little more vague.

Not sure on a daily driver. Visibility sucks, but the clutch is light and it is very comfortable.

How is the variable valve timing? Is it a noticable jump in power like VTAK (just kicked in, bro) or Mazda's system, whatever it's called.

Curious about real world mpg. I know the promises were pretty spectacular.

On a scale of 1 to 100, how much does the corvette feel like a supercar compared to just a regular sportscar, and how has this changed over time with the models before the C7?

Hypothetical situation:

You escape a burning casino on foot, bullets flying past your head. Two cars are parked out front—an F-Type, and a C7. Which one do you commandeer?

On a more serious, but relate note, was Jalopnik at all in the doghouse (so to speak) with GM for breaking the C7 so far ahead of the reveal? Did it take a while of asking before they would let you try one?

How many American flags come with it? Do you get a pet bald eagle? One ticket for a white house tour? A day at a shooting range?

Do you in any way feel threatened by the stingrays?

After all, they did killed Steve Irwin...

I would go C7. The F Type is probably going to be very reliable. But the C7 will still have the lowest risk of not starting. Important when bullets are flying

It looks so happy in yellow. Big smile up front, but without looking silly. This is my new favorite happy looking car.

Awesome, Travis! What do you think of that color combination? Not sure if it's just this picture, but that yellow reminds me of stale orange juice.

Happy thanksgiving.

How much extra HP do you get with that color over something like blue, or red?

How liveable is it, esp to dd? Squeaks, rattles, ride, bump/pothole handling etc. Noise deadening too.

I hate this color. It's obnoxious and all the black accents make it look like a bee. Give me Lime Rock Green or White.

Yellow is the worst.

It's noticeable, there's a definite moment when the engine suddenly becomes even more alive.

Kinja'd!!!1

In a lot of ways it still feels like a C6, which isn't a bad thing, because that was a great car too. I think it's halfway between sports car and supercar. The visibility is what makes it closer to supercar.

Kinja'd!!! Travis Okulski > Icemanmaybeirunoutofthetalents
11/29/2013 at 08:28

It's not bad at all. Magnetic ride is fantastic, doesn't rattle at all. Sound deadening is perfect too. Not too loud, not too quiet inside.

Weird, and something that annoys me is that, unlike Porsche, Chevy hasn't locked out 7th. In a 911, you can only get to 7th from 5th or 6th. Here, a shift from 4th can end up in 7th. I've done it two or three times now, and it's kind of annoying.

When I drove it on track, it was neutral on entry with a tendency to kick out its tail on corner exit.

F-Type, because although its fat, the ladies in Monte Carlo won't laugh at me in it.

Incidentally, why are there bullets flying past my head? Is this a new firefighting technique?
